We have just completed a review of our loans with our bankers The Arab Bank, and they have agreed to an interest rate reduction on our net loans of  $1 Million to 8.05%. While this reduction was welcomed, it still places a significant burden on your committee to be able to meet the annual deficit that arises from the properties.

The Executive and the Finance Sub-committee have had some very serious discussions recently and depending on the level of support over the coming future functions listed, we will go to a community forum in the New Year with our recommendations.

I must thank our Secretary Emil Haddad for the wonderful presentation of our upcoming events and urge you attendance at some or all the functions planned. I cannot impress on you enough the Community announcements listed especially the Registration program put on at AKA by the Park on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th of November in conjunction with the Maronite Foundation Australia.

The framework for the AKA 1000 Club bricks has been selected and we look forward to its completion as soon as possible.

On the sports front the AKA Crusaders Cricket Club is in full swing and we have had some wonderful results already.

The AKA Golf Championship is being played at the exciting Port Kembla Golf course on Sunday 28th  November; bus-leaving AKA by the Park at 9.00am, please contact Joey Abood on 0422071784 for bookings and further details.
