We regret to inform you that the Special General Meeting scheduled for 29 May 2016 has been abandoned and will be rescheduled at a later date upon the issue of further notice.
The meeting has been abandoned in recognition of several issues raised by a member of the Association as to the nature and process of the meeting and the motions proposed therein. The present Committee is determined to write a fresh new page in the history and accountability of AKA and to adhere to the correct procedures of the Association at all times.
The objections raised have made it necessary for the committee to obtain detailed legal advice before proceeding further. We assure you that we have the interests of the community at heart and we seek to preserve the integrity and dignity of the association and the community at all times.
